Love Christmas 2023
Here in Trent Compassion we work alongside some of the most vulnerable and are part of an incredible network of care and support in our city. For the last few years we have worked with churches all over the country as part of an initiative called Love Christmas. Over the year we listen to what is happening in the city and where some of the biggest needs might be.

What do we need?
This year we are asking for the following from Church:
Boxes of biscuits
Boxes of chocolates
Joggers - Medium
Men’s Trunks/boxers – Medium
The trunks/boxers and joggers will go to Emmanuel House and the Friary. The chocolates and biscuits will bless some other isolated people groups - those we serve through debt advice, asylum seekers in hotels, care leavers and prisoners at the three local prisons
Trent Kids and Trent Youth donations
We’re partnering with our friends, Safe Families, who support families where children are at risk of going into care. Imagine a room in the Compassion building turned into a toy shop, so parents can come and choose a toy to give to their children and wrap it up, so we’d love those of you in Trent Kids to bring in the new unwrapped toys.
For those of you in Trent Youth we are asking for toiletries, size S and M sports tops and shorts for refugees that we play football with on Monday night. Having the proper gear makes such a difference, so we want to bless those guys with good quality kit.
